Dustun H. Holmes

Mr. Holmes represents clients from pre-trial to the appellate stage in high-stakes civil litigation, including business and commercial disputes and personal injury claims. He has represented clients in a variety matters in state and federal court, including contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, business fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and other business torts, intellectual property, employment law, product liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, professional liability cases, land use and zoning cases, and construction disputes.

Mr. Holmes is experienced in preparing and trying cases successfully on behalf of his clients. He has tried and prosecuted cases to judgment in both federal and state court. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Holmes has helped clients obtain victories in appellate courts. Mr. Holmes has been involved in some of the most high-profile complex civil litigation cases in Southern Nevada, including matters involving settlements and judgments totaling more than two billion dollars.

During law school, Mr. Holmes was member of both the UNLV Gaming Law Journal and the Society of Advocates, Boyd’s moot court team. He served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Donald M. Mosley (Ret.) in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada and as a teaching assistant to the Lawyer Processing Program at Boyd. Mr. Holmes was a recipient of the National Order of Scribes Award from the American Society of Legal Writers.

Mr. Holmes takes pride in being born and raised in Las Vegas, and dedicates his time to community service work including in the past volunteering with Clark County Law Foundation’s Trial By Peers program and representing clients through both the Federal Pro Bono Program in the District of Nevada and the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.
